The luminous city of Banaras is referred to as ‘Kashi’ in the Rig Veda and favored by the Hindu God Shiva as "The three worlds form one city of mine, and Kāśī is my royal palace therein”. Banaras, a city that rings bells for not just its temples and ghats and embraces the emotion of being the ‘Nagri’ of Lord Vishwanath and the blissful Ganga, also boasts of the splendor of its weavers and their legacy of the ‘Banarasi’ sari.

Founder & Creative Director, Sagrika Rai, born in Banaras lived by the clacking sounds of the handloom in her early childhood days. It was only natural to see her passion gravitate to the aesthetic appreciation and sensibility of this opulent weave. She could visualize poetry being woven by those skillful fingers. Poetry that has now formed the intricate, eloquent stanzas of the Warp 'n Weft story. Her conviction stands timeless and her simplicity keeps the authenticity of this cosmogenic art form. Her inimitable belief of W'nW is the grace of her collection.
