JUNGLA - TWINING SPLENDOUR
One of the oldest and most decadent patterns, the Jungla is an ode to Banaras maximalism. A floral, betel leaf or paisley twine is omnipresent in a dense interlaced pattern on the fabric. A labyrinth or jaal of flowers and creepers cover the body of the fabric in Kadhwa and Kadhiyal to create a rich designscape. The jaal is often further enhanced with minakari, an enamel-like detail from Indian jewellery traditions, creating pure resplendence.
