Gyasar
The Gyasar is a Khinkhwab style of brocade recognised by UNESCO as world heritage textile. Traditionally woven with large heraldic, monastic and mythical motifs, typically used in Tibetan ceremonial costumes and ritualistic hangings. Woven by twisting multiple gold zari threads as a single twine on thick satin, at Warp ‘n Weft we create a modern Gyasar in a mosaic of textures and contrasting burst of colours with an element of European floral chinoiserie. The Gyasar is often used for luxe home furnishings and tapestries as well.
